iHeartRadio is a service for fans of music and radio who need a mobile music app that is free and easy to use. The Design Team’s goals were to improve the design to encourage registration, increase listenership through a more frictionless experience and allow deeper discovery through a less convoluted interface.
As Sr Director of Design, I was brought in to create initiatives to meet these goals and refine an aging 5 year old premium mobile product.
My initiatives included driving product strategy through a product audit, user testing and flow optimization, the addition of onboarding and CRM emails. These steps led to improvements in the product that increased listenership by 25% and registration by 30%.
My role mentoring the entire creative team led to companywide initiatives to showcase work for the company as the team owned 54 different digital products across six different consumer electronic categories as well as output for all live events and sales materials.
My mandates were to develop a consistent User Experience across products and allow for Customers to maintain their preferences, regardless of the app being used.
My role led to product strategy initiatives, where I led the initiative to create a video business that would live adjacent to the audio player.
